Two stages: Pre-K builds the complete phonics foundation, and Grade 1–6 develops vocabulary and reading comprehension through weekly passage reading.
Every lesson balances fiction and nonfiction. Students build academic vocabulary, analyze text structure, and support answers with evidence from the text.
Reading passage length stays consistent across all 12 weeks — only the vocabulary level advances. This way, students can focus on understanding — not struggling to decode harder text.
Each quarter introduces new vocabulary — and the words from the previous quarter quietly reappear in that quarter's stories. Students review without even realizing it. By Q4, the vocabulary from Q1 has come back around — locked in for good.
Level 2 — phonics sequence (12 weeks)
Core math foundations taught with Japanese methods — building deep number sense and calculation fluency. Japanese math methods focus on understanding why — not just how.

Each quarter covers one full year of content (W1–W12). Students repeat the same level for four quarters — each pass faster, more accurate, more confident.
